Ever since it was announced this spring that Allman Brothers Band guitarist Dickey Betts was returning to the stage after a retirement of several years, we've been waiting for him to announce a quasi-hometown show north of the Sunshine Skyway Bridge.
And now we have it.
The legendary Southern rocker, author of hits like Ramblin' Man, will bring his comeback tour to Ruth Eckerd Hall in Clearwater on Nov. 5, his first Tampa Bay show since a hometown gig in Sarasota in May.
As a bonus, Betts will be joined by another Southern rock guitar legend: ZZ Top frontman Billy Gibbons, who will no doubt weave a couple of sharp-dressed hits in with songs from his eclectic solo catalog.
Tickets to this show start at $55 and go on sale at 10 a.m. Tuesday. Click here for details.
