Chef and restaurateur Richard Sandoval plans to open his second restaurant soon at Tampa Marriott Water Street on the Riverwalk. Joining the global RS Hospitality group with Garrison Tavern, which arrived back in April, Anchor and Brine adds fine-dining flair to the hotel’s lunch and dinner options at 700 S Florida Ave.

Expect a signature raw bar and a menu heavy on locally inspired seafood, plus a patio with lounge-style seating and year-round views of the waterfront.

The indoor-outdoor restaurant accommodates 134 throughout its polished, welcoming coastal digs designed to bring the outside in.

"We’re excited to deliver a new culinary experience to the visitors and residents of Tampa Bay and create a new destination along the Tampa Riverwalk,” Sandoval said in a statement.

A varied wine list and craft cocktails complement Anchor and Brine dishes built upon pan-roasted halibut, fresh vegetables, butter-poached lobster tail and pesto cavatelli. Oysters, salmon crudo and other raw bar stalwarts will complete the offerings from 11 a.m. to 2 a.m. daily.
